fast music. the audience appropriation in this movie is ok for younger kids because it has comedy in it and it sends a good message Basically explaining that you shouldn't be judged from where you come from. The characterization is very good in this movie because for one they made a very good choice of who the characters should be. Example; sandra bullok because she is a great actress.
The characters were all comical and played lots of great parts and they all fit their part, also the family achieved most of the goals that they aimed towards, Example; the family wanted to get michael on the right track in school and be succesful and thats exactly what happened. The scenery was also very good because they went through the movie and explained every single detail with lots of facts and the story that was being explained was easy to follow. The tone of the movie was both comical sad, and happy. Some examples would be how some parts were very funny like when they were singing in the truck, parts that were sad like when he didn't have any where to go lastly the part that was happy was when he made it to college. The plot for the characters was good but some characters could have been in it alittle more often.

In the movie Rocky, the scenery is believable because in the movie they say the scenery is in Philadelphia and they actually filmed the movie in Philadelphia. The characterization of Rocky is real because he is a under educated person and in Philadelphia there are people like that. The music in the movie Rocky is believable because it is music the pumps you up and that was the music that was playing while Rocky was training and he had to get pumped up. The plot in Rocky is pretty good because it doesn’t skip around at all and it makes sense. The tone of Rocky is action because he trains and boxes and that is action. Rocky the movie was made for everyone who is about 10 and up because it might not make any since to children younger than that. Also it is a very entertaining movie that anyone would like.
    Rocky blog**A.D. MURPHY**
If ever a recent offbeat film project had some high-horsepower sponsorship, it's "Rocky." Sylvester Stallone stars in his own screenplay about a minor local boxer who gets a chance to fight a heavyweight championship bout. Some genuinely strong emotional impact emerges from the heavy environment of street grime and gymnasium sweat provided by director John G. Avildsen and producers Irwin Winkler and Robert Chartoff. The p.r. juggernaut is already at high speed, though the public might well be given a chance to discover the United Artists release for itself.
There are "Marty" overtones in abundance here, and that's a strong commercial omen for the $1,000,000 gamble herein. The very best way to enjoy "Rocky" is not to examine it too carefully; better simply to relax and roll with the Walter Mitty, Cinderella, or what-have-you notion that the least of us still stands a chance of making it big.
Stallone's title character is that of a near-loser, a punchy reject scorned by gym owner Burgess Meredith, patronized by local loan shark Joe Spinell (for whom Stallone is too-sympathetic a strong-arm collection agent), rebuffed by plain-Jane Talia Shire whose brother, Burt Young, keeps engineering a romantic match. Even Jodi Letizia, latent teenage tramp, has contempt for him.
Rocky would have remained in this rut, had not heavyweight champ Carl Weathers come up with the Bicentennial gimmick of fighting a sure-ringer, thereby certifying the American Dream for public consumption. Fight promoter Thayer David (remembered so well as the professional and moral arsonist in Avildsen's "Save the Tiger") puts the machinery in motion. To everyone's surprise, Rocky trains arduously. In the climactic (and cinematically powerful) fight sequence, Rocky goes the whole route to an exciting fadeout draw which is reminiscent of the climax of Robert Aldrich's "The Longest Yard" two years ago.
En route all this, Stallone brings out the best in Shire, exposes the worst in Young and generally gets his life together. The story-telling pace justifies nicely its 119-minute length. Performances, direction and production all contribute importantly. But...
While art by definition must trigger certain emotional responses, occasionally there's too-obvious a feeling of really being manipulated and stroked. Fact that Rocky gets his big chance from cynical schemers--with a black public hero as the instigator--rests uneasily at moments. Then there are occasional flashes that the film may be patronizing the lower end of the blue-collar mentality, as much if not more than the characters who keep putting Rocky down on the screen. However, Avildsen is noted for creating such ambiguities.
To repeat, best not to dwell on the film. Better to let the smoggy fairy tale run its course and allow general audience patrons their own unique word of mouth propulsion. Pre-release certification of triumph along with a barrage of favorable expert opinion is not unlike playing with fire.

FromThe film opens with a Spartan elder inspecting an ugly, talking baby (an ogre from Shrek 3). It is abandoned to die for its deformity, as is the creatorscustom of Scary Moviethe time like giving the Vietnamese babies to Brangelina. Baby Leonidas is then inspected, having a six-pack, biceps, and Date Movie comes this tongue-in-cheek parody ofbeard from birth. He is accepted as a Spartan and prepared for kinghood through his childhood training, from fighting his grandmother to enduring torture. Leonidas (Sean Maguire) is then cast out into the sword-and-sandal epics, dubbed Meetwild, and survives the Spartans. The 20th Century Fox production was writtenharsh winter and directeda gangsta penguin (Happy Feet). Returning a king for his inauguration ceremony in a penguin coat, Leonidas sees Margo (Carmen Electra) dancing and asks her to marry him, to which she responds by giving him the filmmaking team of Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer. Sure, combination to her chastity belt.
    Years later,
Leonidas may have nothing more thanis training his son when Captain (Kevin Sorbo) informs him that a cape and some leather underwearPersian messenger has arrived. Accompanied by the Spartan politician Traitoro, the messenger has come to protectpresent Xerxes' demands for Sparta's submission. Leonidas arrives to greet the messenger in the Spartan way (high-fives for the women and open mouth tongue kisses for the men). After growing angry with both the messenger's disrespect and finding him frommaking out with his wife, Leonidas kicks him into the razor-sharp swords'pit of death'. Despite "Traitoro's" advice that the messenger's guards are now needed to convey the actual message, Leonidas kicks them in as well. Afterwards, he dumps in several other people he simply dislikes, including Britney Spears, Sanjaya Malakar and the judges for American Idol before having Ryan Seacrest fling himself in. Resolving to face the Persians, Leonidas visits the Oracle, for any advice. The Oracle, Ugly Betty, reveals that Leonidas will die should he go to war. After reaching a decision while spending the night with his Persian enemies, butwife, Leonidas meets the soldiers assembled for his departure to Thermopylae, and finds that won't stoponly 13 (not 300) were accepted in the brave leaderarmy, since there were stringent specifications to be accepted— "Hunky with deep Mediterranean tans, hot bods, and well-endowed". Three among them include Captain, his teamson, Sonio, and a slightly unfit Spartan named Dilio, who, as the Captain states, "Has a lot of 13 warriors from defending their beloved homeland againstheart...and nice man boobs." Once at the Hot Gates, they encounter the deformed Paris Hilton (also played by Parker), who tells Leonidas and the Captain about a powerful invading forcesecret goat path above the Hot Gates that includesXerxes could use to outflank the likes ofSpartans. When she asks to be made a mutantSpartan soldier, Leonidas rejects her as unqualified due to her inability to use a spear correctly. Leonidas and his platoon soon face off with Xerxes' messenger and his Immortals, beating them in a dance contest before driving them off a cliff. Xerxes (Ken Davitian), impressed, personally approaches Leonidas and attempts to bribe him. The Spartan king declines, saying that he will instead make the "God King" fall. The Spartans then face the Persian army in a "Yo Momma" fight. The Spartans end with a victory, in spite of Dilio having his eyes scratched out.
Though victory seemed to be in the Spartans' grasp,
Paris Hilton,Hilton betrays the Transformers,Spartans and reveals the location of the goat path to Xerxes in return for various gifts. Using a CGI army, blue screen included, Xerxes meets the twelve remaining Spartans and the war is on. Meanwhile, back in Sparta, Queen Margo has several confrontations with Traitoro, because he is the vital vote in sending more troops to assist her husband. Following her address to the Council, Traitoro publicly betrays the Queen. She defeats him in battle. Evidence is shown he is a traitor, uniting the council with the queen. At the Battle of Thermopylae, the Persians introduce their secret weapons: Ghost Rider,Rider and Rocky Balboa. - Jeremy Wheeler, Rovi.Balboa (film), who kills Sonio with a decapitating uppercut before his father avenges him with Botox poisoning. But when Captain is struck down by Xerxes, Leonidas pursues Xerxes. Managing to find the "Transformer Cube", Xerxes uses it in a car to become "Xerestron" as he shows off his godly powers to access Youtube. However, Xerxestron trips on his extension cord, fulfilling Leonidas' vow that he would fall at the cost of himself and surviving Spartans being crushed. The blind Dilio, who left prior to the final battle, eventually returns to Sparta to tell of Leonidas' final moments. A year later, Dilio leads a force of one hundred real Spartans and several thousand CGI-ones to defeat the Persians, but the blind warrior ends up going the wrong way. They end up in Malibu when they knock Lindsay Lohan down as she was leaving rehab (again).
The film ends with a musical number set to Gloria Gaynor's "I Will Survive" performed on American Idol by all of the characters in the film.
