JUMPER MOVIE ANALYSIS(updated):

I own a copy of the movie jumper, a very good sci-fi movie. The plot follows a person named David Rice starting from his earley teens. The plot moves kind of fast, however that seems to work pretty well for a movie about a guy who can teleport and be anywhere at anytime. However sometimes following can be a bit difficult, and the events have a habit of meshing together. While it starts off simmple enough, the teleporting bank robbery, teleporting all over the world, is fairly easy to comprehend. However the later switch to the freaky orginazation of "palidins" hunting him down, the story basically exploded going in a strange direction. He decides to go to his old hometown, where everyone thinks he's dead, mostley because he was last seen under ice, drowning. After throwing an old bully into a bank vault, many miles away by teleporting him, meeting up with an old love intrest, and going to rome, he encouters another jumper (a person who can teleport) named Griffin, both of whom are being hunted by Roland, one of the best of the paladins. They quickly end up fighting several palidins. The rest of the story gets even jumpier from here an Davids father gets hurt, a flamethrower is used, an english double decker bus is teleported, as is part of a building and Roland is left stranded in the middle of the grand canyon. This is the end of the story and I will explain some other things about the movie. The main character David Rice. First off, he sounds like a japanese side dish. Secondly, he is a clich'e character. His mother is gone and his father is horrible. We have seen this before, give us something NEW! However, his powers definatley make him more interesing. A guy who teleports all over the world, steals stuff, and leaves I.O.U.'s? Sign me up! I'd watch that. In fact I have. The music is very action filled, obviosly during the action scenes, and always seems to match the mood. David doesn't seem to match someone who has been living on his own since he was a kid. Everyone else seeems to match up though. An example is how the bully became an obvious drunk. The scenery switchs from hometown, city, england, egypt, rome, egypt (again), hometown, big lake, grand canyon, and then an iced over place. Yes, it goes just like that. It maintains an action filled, PG13, mood (or tone) about it, with violence everywhere, and a big disapointing reveal at the end. There is not as much blood as you would expect, but for teenagers it's enough to satisfy the menentally stable ones. It somehow manages to keep a seemingly PG13 level of audience appropriatness. Amazing, I know. I happen to be sarcastic right now. It's not surprising, in almost any way. The cursing (if their is any) is limited.This is all that is to be said, goodbye.
