Movie Analysis

So anyways I thought I would do an analysis on the movie Cirque Du Freak: The Vampires Assistant. A lot of people looked at the trailer and thought that the movie would most likely be crud. Well I am entitled to my own opinion, and my opinion says that this movie was NOT crud! Maybe I only feel this way because I read all 12 of the books. And let me tell you, it was such a good series, that when i reached book nine, I put
the series down for two years before picking it back up again a few weeks ago. The ending of book nine was so heartbreaking I couldn't stand it! So I stopped. Cried about it for two years. Saw the movie. got motivated. Finished the series. Cried again. But hey, if it wasn't for that movie I would still be stuck on book nine.
You must be wondering how that movie could have possibly motivated me. Well I don't really know myself. It may have something to do with the music or something. It was epic when it needed to be epic. so it really heightened the awesomeness at some scenes. and in other scenes, it abruptly stopped or got louder. also the characterization was wonderful. Darren Shan was an o.k character. (though at the end of the series i thought it was sooo sad! D:) But Mr.Crepsley was the best ever! My favorite character eeeeveeeerrrrr! he totally struck me as the vampire type. totally achieved what I expected him to be, you know? I wasn't happy when he fell on a pit of steel tipped stakes that were on fire. Ouch. So anyway, this movie has great comedy that gets you hooked, you know? Was soo funny. The scenery was o.k. I mean, i could have done better. There are only six different places in the entire movie. The Cirque Du Freak circus grounds, Hospital (For 2 minutes), Graveyard, and then the Theatre and Darren's house. Plus this dark field where Mr.Crepsley teaches Darren how to fight like a vampire. Not a lot, but they use them rather well. I might just be crazy about this movie because I read the entire series. But after reading this super sad and dark series and seeing almost a "spoof" of it, just cracked me up. The books have almost no comedy, so the movie seemed almost like a "spoof". Was a very good tone. It seemed kind of serious, I mean there were all these vampaneze that wanted to kidnap Darren, so poor Mr.Crepsley was trying to keep the vampaneze from capturing Darren, while he was still trying to teach Darren how to be a vampire. Harder than it sounds, ok? But they added a lot of comedy to keep you watching and not treat the movie like a total bloody vampire movie. Mr.Crepsley eats the Cullens for breakfast! The Twilight movies were rushed and were AWFUL! you can tell this movie was better planned and not rushed. (And they used better actors.) So anyway, the plot is that Darren Shan, a normal boy with a normal boring life, goes to a freakshow with his friend one night, and at that freakshow his friend notices that Mr.Crepsley (one of the performers) is actually a vampire. (Lotsa commas! :D) So Stever, (Darrens friend) goes to Mr.Crepsley and asks to be his assistant, or a half vampire. Mr.Crepsley tests his blood and guess what? Steve has evil blood! ... lol poor Steve. So steve doesn't become a vampire. boohoo sob sob cry cry. Little does Steve know, Darren is in the closet, watching everything! He had went into Mr.Crepsleys room too, to steal his big tarantula Madam Octa. He takes Madam Octa. RAWR vampire is mad, Madam octa bites Steve, Steve is poisoned, Darren needs antidote, goes back to theatre to ask Mr.Crepsley for antidote, Mr.Crepsley agrees as long as Darren becomes HIS assistant. lol. now Darren is a vampire woohoo. so blah blah, he has to fake his death so his family won't go after him anymore. So after he "dies" he almost gets kidnapped by vampaneze. I have mentioned vampaneze in this essay before. They are like vampires, except when they "feed" on a human they kill them, while Vampires only take a little blood when they eat off of humans. So he almost gets kidnapped, Mr.Crepsley saves him, they go to Cirque Du Freak where they'll be safe, blah blah blah. And so we finally hit the climax. Darren's crush (A girl with a eh, monkey tail) gets kidnapped by the vampaneze and Darren leaves Mr.Crepsley to save her. Not too smart. And guess what? They got his family too! So they go back into the theatre where Darren got changed into a vampire to do this epic climax. So yeah he walks in, being stupid, when Steve come sout! And Steve turned into a vampaneze so it doesn't end too well. You know, best friend vs best friend. Then right when Darren is about to get his butt kicked, Mr.Crepsley swoops in to save him. Thank goodness. Well, Mr.Crepsley gets stabbed with a knife or two, but they win. It ends happily with Darren and his monkey girlfriend kissing. But it's not over yet. They killed a vampaneze. this has started war between the vampire and the vampaneze. And though they may not know it, it revolves completely around Darren and Steve. We anxiously await the next movie...
