Banning Harry Poter books in schools around the world.
banning of Harry Poter books is it really nesserary? Mostly Christin perents want to ban Harry Poter they want to because of its mithicle and its material they find offensive or counter to their religious beliefs. I think we should keep the Harry Poter books because on the reasources i found that these books magically engaged millions of kids in reading. It also's the some normal teenage life Harry gets intersted in chicks and is more becoming a young adult then a teenager he started with. I beliveve we shouldn't ban the books i believe this because i think kids should read what they want and if it has something to do with religious belivefs that you should le tyour kids decied what rerligion they want even if they dont want to believe in a religion at all, so let the books stay. If your kid wants to read these books let them they will learn on there own from right and wrong. the states that tried to ban harry potter For example, in Gwinnett County, Georgia, a parent challenged the Harry Potter books on the grounds that they promoted witchcraft. When school officials ruled against her, she went to the State Board of Education. When the BOE confirmed the right of local school officials to make such decision, she took her battle against the books to court. Although the judge ruled against her in the spring of 2007, she indicated she might continue her fight against the series. i have got my informasion form the website of ABOUT.com The Harry Potter Controversy the artical by Elizabeth Kennedy.
